Blog Activity #20B
May 16th, 2006 by stjohnsThe virtue of the week at SJS is “RESOLUTION.” What does this virtue mean? You can look up the meaning at www.dictionary.com — but be careful — there might be more than one meaning! Make sure to choose the meaning of the virtue! Even if you copy the definition, come up with your own meaning — what you think the virtue of “resolution” means for you. Write a sentence based on the virtue of “resolution” — make sure to use the word.
To help you out a bit on the meaning of resolution, here’s a quote from Abraham Lincoln on resolution: “Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.”
Write about instances in your life at home or school where you exercised the virtue of “resolution.”
